Promise Dreams is a national charity that was launched in 2001 with the aim of making a real difference to children who are seriously or terminally ill. Every child has a dream and whatever it may be we aim to make it come true – whether it be to go on the holiday of a lifetime and spend time with their siblings following extended hospital stays, the chance to meet their celebrity hero, a specially adapted trike to enable them to join in on family bike rides, or essential equipment and resources for their home. In fact, anything that will make life happier and easier for the family in need. We accept applications for children from all over the UK from birth up to the age of eighteen. Many of the applications received by the charity are not for items that the average person would consider a dream but for these children, and their families, something as simple as laminate flooring can make a huge difference to every day of their life. Tragically time is not something that many of these families have a lot of so raising a few special smiles & creating treasured memories is what Promise Dreams is all about.
The Promise Dreams workforce is a small team of highly trained staff and several volunteers with a positive attitude, lots of energy and a little bit of imagination. Thanks to the hard work, passion & enthusiasm of its supporters the charity has raised in excess of £3,000,000 and more than 1,800 very special children have seen their dreams come true. We raise much-needed funds through bag packs, fun runs, bucket collections, gala dinners, sponsored walks and much, much more! Find out more about how you could get involved here.
