Transition Day a tremendous success!
National Star College held the event on Wednesday 28 March, it featured 47 diverse exhibitors from across the country. From law firms and inclusive leisure providers to residential services, therapies and charitable organisations, the day provided a one-stop-shop of information and guidance, enabling visitors to build contacts and prepare for a post-education future. In addition to the exhibitors, Stagecoach offered bus travel sessions in partnership with National Star’s Lift Training team.
For Tomcat building relationships with local organisations such as The National Star College is an integral part of our business. The Star College already houses a number of Tomcat Trikes, however, the Tomcat Bullet certainly stole the show on the day.
The Tomcat Bullet, launched in November last year, is the new low sitting trike from Tomcat designed with teenagers and adults in mind. With five models to choose from, there is a Bullet for every need; ranging from pure sport and leisure use and mild mobility issues, through to profound learning and physical challenges.
Carl, an ex-student at the National Star College (seen above) attended the Transition Day to explore other opportunities available to him. Carl was bowled over by the Tomcat Bullet and the possibility of riding again! He hadn’t actually ridden a bike for a number of years, in fact since he was a little boy!
“I really enjoyed riding The Bullet, you don’t realise what’s out there until you come to events like these.”
Tomcat will be demonstrating The Bullet at the College during FestAble – A National Festival of specialist learning on 2nd June. Come and say hello!
